Case of Hemorrhoids

A 50+ years old long term patient of mine with PR bleeding due to hemorrhoids on and off due to diet. It was mainly after alcohol and wheat intake like yellow noodles and pasta.

Few months ago he bled a lot and his hemoglobin dropped to 7.5. Did not want to go for further tests or colonoscopy. I used no grains except a bit of rice diet, no more alcohol and gave homeopathy aesculus hippocastanum 200c 1 or 2x daily.
He didn’t adhere to the diet much, just cut down on wheat but alcohol intake was still there.
His bleeding stopped within 24 hours. And now 2 months later his Hb is 12.5mg. He only took the homeopathic drop once every few days.

Fungal infection

Fungal infection

38 years old lady came in with complaints of fungal infection, rash with itchiness.

She gave history that about 5 years ago her husband has this fungal and rash problem and she thinks she got it from her husband. She went many clinics & specialist medication but no improvement at all.

She came complaining of fungal infection on her buttock, private part & other body parts where it itches. It appears to have many follicles in her body; where she can squeeze it out the follicle. It look like vesicular infection.
She use to scratch on itchy part more and more, sometimes until it bleeds only feel comfortable.
No itchiness inside her private part but always has thick leucorrhea, sometime white, greenish, sometime has pieces of the greenish.

Her other modalities were :

  • difficult to sweat even in hot weather

  • constipation with dry and hard stools (she has been taking dulcolax or enema)

  • She feel her mouth dry but don’t like to drink water.
  • her appetite is good but she does not put on weight.
  • She doesn’t like cold weather.
  • Her itchiness happen all day, sleep is disturbed, sometime awaken from sleep due to itchiness.


She was on the following medications :

  • IV fluconazole weekly, IV Flagyl
  • Infusion normal saline, MVT, Vitamins C add piriton reduce itchiness.
  • T greasoflavin 500mg daily, T diflucon weekly -4 weeks, T zentel 2 weekly 4 weeks, T piriton at night Prn, T loratadine one BD

She still had not seen much improvement and came to see me.
I started her on low dose Anti fungal combo, Cruzinc and homeopathic Nat mur, Apis 4-4-4, Sulphur 4-0-4
After she started with these she was able to sweat but now the itchiness worsened with sweat. The difference is now she can withstand coldness now.

Blood test done – Igg & Ige normal, TWBC high

Dr Tariq advised to add in Morgan Bach 5-5-5, Sepia 200c 4-4-4, Riccinus, bismuth and Nat sul 200c
And he asked to stop low dose anti fungal combo.

Slowly her itching reduced and her fungal infection is also reducing slowly for her. She feel very happy. Thank you Dr Tariq

Note :

  • Antifungal was stopped bec the IL 9 was aggravating the allergy.
  • Sepia was used due to leucorrhea.
  • Riccinus and bismuth to stop acidity and improve her digestion.
  • Nat sul since TWBC was high.
  • Morgan bach since we could not use antifungal combo.
  • Apis was not required here since patient was not a hot patient and apis is not required in allergic fungal infections.
  • In fungal infections homeopathy tellurium is also very useful.

Congestive headache

Case of congestive headaches

A patient came with complaint of headaches. There was a sensation on congestion in head like blood filling up, the BP was high. It seemed a case of BP migraine where glonine should be useful.
I asked patient what makes it better. The patient said it gets better after passing stools, the patient also drank a lot of water with food and had a dry mouth.
Used to get sudden bouts of anger with face turning red and also lips getting red.

Headaches improving after passing stools is typically aloe.

Some headaches like this which are worse during straining can also be subarachanoid bleeding.
Her CT was normal but in many such cases the CT after 7 days is normal, the best way to diagnose is of course a lumbar puncture and look for xanthochromasia or RBCs in the CSF, however patient did not want to do that.

I was quite nervous here since the patient could be having a bleed and also seeing the high BP it was scary.
I still followed the modality of migraine better after stool and associated with anger, patient craving for water. Gave aloe 200c 4_0_0. After 3 days the migraine went away and the BP is also normal.

Note :

  • Aloe is a stimulant laxative, it moves the gut. It also at the same time dilates cardiac vessels, lowers vessel wall inflammation and stops bleeds. I am sure this case had a bleed but due to a lack of lumbar puncture cannot prove it.

  • The differentiator with pulsatilla for congestion is that pulsatilla patient has lack of thirst and no improvement after stools.

  • Gelsimium patient is not better after stools but afrer urination.
  • Sepia patient has improvement after vomiting.

Throat irritation

Case of throat irritation

Had a case yesterday with need of constant clearing of throat since many years.

She also had diabetes, BP, thyroid issues but her urgent complaint was this constant throat irritation.
Her ENT had told her its silent reflux. She was on antacids since many years and she said that if she does not take the antaacid the throat feels better but then her stomach burns.

H2 antagonists end up increasing gastrin which increases stomach motility.
Gave her homeopathy bismuth which is the cure for overuse of antaacids.
In 10 minutes the throat irritation stopped, today morning also it was gone and now even without anta acid she was fine with no stomach burning.

Back pain after trauma

Back pain post injury

One 45 year old lady with back pain since 4 months came in. The MRI showed disc bulging.
The etiology was from jerk while riding a 2 wheeler scooter due to potholes and bad road conditions.
She also had anxiety issues, she would wake up at 3 in the night due to anxiety.
She had constipation from inactivity; she generally lied in bed whole day.
SHe complained of shock like pain radiating down the left leg.
When she came she was limping and took a long time to move just 2 to 3 feet.

Gave her homeoapthy lachesis (primary med in disc bulging) + kali carb (back pain and anxiety) + paraffin (entrapment nerve pain) + aloe (constipation from inactivity). And also low dose curzinc.

After 20 minutes she was able to get up from chair unsupported and walk around. She was delighted!

Next day morning she called to say that she also slept well through the night, her constipation cleared out and does not feel anxiety. She was able to wake up and get up from bed on her own and walked around unsupported.

She had been through steroid injections, NSAIDs, physiotherapy, acupuncture, acupressure before but she did not receive much relief.

Parvovirus b19

Case of parvovirus b19

A small child came with bright red cheeks, he had itchy rash on the body too with fever. He also had impetigo, old mosquito bite on legs had turned hyperpigmented and were itchy.
Looked like a case of slapped cheek syndrome, with impetigo and post insect bite inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).

For the PIH I gave homeopathy apis+ledum pal.
For the impetigo gave pulsatilla and gunpowder. Hydrastis could have also been given but I did not. I gave pulsatilla because the area was bright red.
For the slapped cheek syndrome due to Parvoviros b19 gave sang can.

After 3 days all conditions improved very well. In fact within a few hours the child became stable in terms of the cheek flushing and itching.

Kidney stone

Kidney stone case

A patient came with left flank pain, worse after passing urine. The USG showed 4.7mm kidney stone.
No pus cells in urine, however the local GP gave antibiotics. Post the antibiotics the pain flared up and became unbearable. She had severe acidity and vomiting too.

Gave her low dose kidney stone combo, homeopathy ipecac and bismuth.

Next day she called to say that the vomiting and acidity had stopped but the pain was intense and she wanted to get hospitalized, she could not get a bed in the local hospital and an IV shot of painkillers did not stop pain.

I gave her homeopathy belladonna 1m. Within 10 minutes her pain reduced and she slept off.
After 2 days all pain has gone and she passed out the kidney stone.

Belladonna is the best way to stop the acute pain of a kidney stone.

Acute bronchitis in a baby

Case of acute bronchitis in a baby

A 6 month old baby got wet in water and was put in an AC environment when wet; she developed low grade fever with nose watering. The lungs were congested making her breathing difficult, sputum which came out was thick and stringy. The baby was vomiting all the food and would not eat. Mom called me late at night yesterday.
Mostly the diagnosis seemed like a RSV infection.
Sarted her on ipecac, ars alb (exposure from cold causing flu) and hydrastis (congestion with thick stringy sputum).
Baby was able to breathe better in 2 hours. Was abe to drink some milk and sleep through the night. Next day sputum was coming out easily and baby was also eating well.

Persistent high ESR

Persistent high ESR

Sharing my case of meningitis with persistently high ESR starting from 98 and slowly reduced to 39 (almost 9 months).

Since last 3 weeks I added on low dose curzinc and imusil.
Her ESR tremendously dropped to 3 and she lost 3 kg within a month. Power of curzinc and imusil !

Omicron in an adult

My sister in law with COVID omicron B5 had a horrendous sorethroat on day 3 and lost her voice and was super anxious as she has underlying asthma. Montelukast was given but did not relieve the tight sensation in the throat.

On examination the tongue was thickly coated so I added anticandida and betaglucan with nystatin gargles. Two days later sore throat subsided but developed a chesty cough.

Added low dose klotho, kali bichro and hepar sul and h202 and imusil.

3 days later minimum sputum so added antifibrosis combo. Its been another 3 days and she has completely recovered.
